Tear it down

I used to be horrorized
when I heard the sentence come
and saw the butchers' torches
getting close, and close, and close.

Why would you do that?
The ashes don't respond
because their words are covered
by the echoes of that voice.

"Tear it down!
Tear it down, down, down!
Burn it down to the ground!"
Destruction over creation,
until you hit the realization
of not having anything else around.

The tower we created
in which everyone poured their souls
is now reduced to rubble
and a bunch of leftover stones.

A sadly glance we shared together
looking at it from the crossing roads
and a farewell before departing
while we mock those last words

"Tear it down
Tear it down, down, down
Burn it down to the ground."
Destruction over creation,
until you hit the realization
of not having anything else around.

I used to be horrorized
when I heard the sentence come
and saw the owners' torches
getting close, and close, and close.

Why you would do that?
The answer still don't know
but for sure I don't fear changes
because I learned to move along.

"They tore it down.
They tore it down, down, down.
Burnt it down to the ground."
From destruction comes creation,
that is my new realization
when I start something new around
